In Short, the effects of balst,
WHAT: 8 blasts rock Bangalore in 30 minutes killing 1 and injuring 9
These were crude timer bombs made of gelatin sticks. Nuts and bolts used as shrapnel
WHO: No group has claimed responsibility, but police suspect Karnataka Forum for Dignity. The Forum however claimed innocence. Centre suspects LeT, SIMI
Impact: Schools and colleges, malls and theatres shut down, traffic jams across the city as people rush home.
Red alert declared in many cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai

Govts just talk:
Looks like Karnataka’s politicians believe only in talking tall on terrorism. None of the governments has taken threat seriously. The state has an Anti-Terrorist Cell that has no powers and is woefully short of personnel. It just receives and passes on alerts. The team has only 5 members that idle for most of the time and works once in a while.
Sensex shaken:
Tremors of Bangalore serial blasts on Friday were felt in Dalal Street with benchmark Sensex tumbling by over 500 points. Suspected terror-link to the explosions in the country’s IT hub added to selling pressure triggered by global cues and profit booking after recent five-day upsurge.

Terror target-History in Karnataka
  • 2006 December 28 - A terror attack on IISC Bangalore, a scientist Prof : Puri killed and 3 people injured.
  • 2008 May 10 - On holiday afternoon time bomb blast in Hubli court. They used remote control to blast the bomb.
  • 2008 October 27 - Terrorist Mahammada ali and Fahar are arrested in Mysore near Vijayanagar police station circle.
Questions in my mind (probably in your mind too....)
  • Is this really done by SIMI or LeT ? or
  • Is it politically promoted to bring down BJP Government ?
  • Will BSY crack this political puzzle and bring the "Bahayotpadak" behind the bars ?
  • Why does most of the time terrorist attack happens only on Friday ?? to exaggerate infamous "Black Friday" ??
